Bumping elbows with Hollywood
So a couple of years ago, Jason posted on here about a band called Stone Bogart, which included bassist Travis Randall (who currently plays in the children’s heavy metal band Black Rattle) and lead singer Sean Anders, who went on to write Hot Tub Time Machine. Today, I saw that Travis commented on Jason’s post. How awesome is that?!?
In other new, this has been floating around the Internet, and I feel like alienating some of you, so here goes.
Things other people seem fond of that I cannot stand:
1. Hummus
2. The Twilight series
3. Beer (any kind, flavor, etc.)
4. Awards shows/celebrity magazines/TMZ
5. Nutella
6. NPR
7. Scented hand lotion
8. Designer handbags or shoes
9. Any TV show/movie that involves singing as a main component: Sound of Music, American Idol, Glee
10. The following bands: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band, the Beatles (that’s right, I cannot stand the Beatles)
11. Coffee
12. Talking/texting on the phone while driving
13. Wearing pajama pants in public

While I looooove hummus, (especially my own homemade variety!) and appreciate fine microbrews and can’t form a thought until I’ve had my morning coffee, I will wholeheartedly back you up on the ickiness of texting while driving, award shows, American Idol, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Oh, and I must be old, but my jaw drops every time I see college students on campus wearing jammies to class. While I might have thought of doing that, I never actually DID. (What really blows my mind is when young women wear jammie bottoms and HEELS. Just what the hell is that about?)

I like hummus, Nutella, American Idol, and the Beatles (which is convenient because it’s Lennon/McCartney night on Idol today). I am neutral on NPR. I agree with you on all the rest.

1) Seafood of any kind. Seriously all of it. YUCK!
2) Wine. Just don’t see the point. Give me a good old margarita any day!
3) Strawberries. The seeds! How do people deal with all of those seeds?
4) Led Zepplin. Red hot pokers in my ears would be preferable.
5) Loud talkers on the bus. Good god do we all have to listen to you drone on an on?
6) Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Uh…you almost lost me with hating coffee, but as long as you don’t hate The Rolling Stones we’re okay.
I bought the first two Twilight books before the movies, thinking they were adult horror, and as it turns out…they suck. You’re right.
Although you might want to alienate me, since I sometimes wear pajama pants to the post office. WHAT? It was cold!

I have to agree with you on hummus, beer, awards shows/celebrity magazines/TMZ, and coffee (though I tend to like the smell).
I don’t actively dislike but also give not two shits about the Twilight series, designer handbags or shoes, musical TV / movies
I’ve never tried Nutella. I don’t listen to NPR because even though I feel sort of like I should, I just can’t deal with all that talking. OMFG, all that talking!
