Failure:
The newest plate is on the cribbage plaque. Boo. I sense a very disturbing and unwelcome trend here.
Successes:
After failing to find the motivation to finish my Frankenstein Sweater, I didn’t knit for months. I’d walk past my knitting basket and see that monstrosity just mocking me, ugly and stupid. Then it finally dawned on me that I could knit something else. My stupid brain thought I had to actually finish something before starting a new project! HA. So I’ve been happily knitting these quick and easy dishcloths, which I gave to Jason’s grandma:
Then I decided to get a little fancier, thanks to this awesome site:
(This also went to Jason’s grandma.)
But this one’s just for me. I think I’ll put it in our camper:

Pretty! I’ve been on a dishcloth-making kick lately too (I’ve made a bunch of that first pattern. Most are destined for the school’s craft sale in December! I’m also fond of making ornaments – teeny sweaters, hats and scarves. I love finishing a project in one night!
I love that you guys keep a plaque for your tournament. Ahhh… 2005.

I had a similar thing happen to me after knitting something I hated every minute of. I did finish it … and then I turned to crochet, and for about a year (or two?) I didn’t knit another thing. It took a long time to get that out of my system!

Your cribbage plaque with actual little metal personalized thingies on it caused me to call Paul to come from this computer to see it.
I love the pretty dishcloths!

Ugh, sucks about the cribbage. Though that plaque is AMAZING.
The dishcloths are also amazing! I heart.

Jaason’s a rat bastid. Do NOT give him one of your hand-knitted dishcloths. And don’t let him use his grandma’s.

I love these! My mom takes dishcloth patterns like these and does them on a much larger scale to make baby blankets.

I think it may be at the point where you need to start/up the cheating. Does he play worse when he’s drunk? Perhaps a few bottles of wine to start out a cribbage set. Does he play worse when he’s distracted? Naked cribbage! Does he play worse when he’s angry? Insult cribbage! A completely illegal strategy must be made up at this point, friend. We need your name on that plaque!

That cribbage plaque is fantastic! You guys are so cute!
And I LOVE that purple butterfly washcloth. Butterflies are my favorite. So pretty!

Sweaters are too hard, too time consuming and not fast enough results. Dish cloths and scarves are MUCH better! & so pretty!!

Better luck in 2010!! The dishcloths are AWESOME!! My question is do you use them to wash or dry dishes? Hub’s gram made some for us, and I don’t know what to do.

Saly,
As a kid, we used them to wipe down the counters and table, but I know others who use them to wash the dishes.
