Christmas card regret
Yesterday, Jason & I decided to get some Christmas photo cards made at Target. The photo we wanted wasn’t saved to a disc, so we brought it along to be scanned. After selecting our holiday card background, we lifted the lid of the scanner and sadly gasped in unison when we saw that the previous user had forgotten their photo.
“Oh no,” we said, as I lifted the photo off the scanner and flipped it over, preparing to see someone’s new baby or a happy family sitting in front of a Christmas tree.
Instead, the photo was of a wrinkled, nude, 80-year-old guy sitting in a half-filled bathtub.
Yeah.
You don’t know how close we were to using that photo instead of ours.
(Instead, we turned it in to a Target employee, who blushed and said, “Oh boy.”)

OMG. I am tempted to offer you CASH MONEY to use that other photo—with no explanation in your card. No no—must save for the children’s Christmas joy. (But OMG!)

OMG why didn’t you use it???? At least as a joke card to send to some friends!!! That would have been so funny.
Also, you have such random shit happen to you

LOL. That is really funny. Glad you caught it before you printed anything. Also, good luck with your new job, Jason!

Scott wonders if someone left it in the scanner on purpose.

I think I have to second Nowheymama- surely someone left that on purpose to make YOUR holiday just a little more magical!

OMG PLEASE send it out. You could do a card that’s a mosaic of outtakes. Mostly normal ones of you and Jason looking cross-eyed, but then just toss that one in with no comment.

Seriously tempted to joined with Swistle on a pool to bribe you to send it to your internet buddies.
God, that is hilarious. And I really have to ask – WHO took that photo?!
