trying to delay the inevitable
I’m in that weird place where I’ve been slowly feeling myself getting sicker throughout the day. This morning I woke up with a slightly scratchy throat, but after reeling off 5 sneezes in rapid succession, thought I was fine. Then, this thing has been steadily ambushing me, sneaking in a headache then disappearing as I self-medicate with Aleve and caffeine, only to pop up ninja-style two hours later with full-body aches and a not-kidding-around sore throat. NO. You do not have Level 4 clearance, sickness!
Plus, it’s French Toast for Dinner tonight. With bacon. YOU WILL NOT RUIN THIS.

I hate that when the sickness just lingers in the background, annoying you and limiting you, but not giving you the ability to just BE SICK. Here’s hoping you can still enjoy the delicious breakfast for dinner!

Yum! I love breakfast for dinner.
Hope you are OK – but I know when I get a little sore throat it always turn into a nasty cold or virus.
Go to bed after dinner!

Oh man. I hope it doesn’t develop into something worse. Although, curling up in bed with hot tea sounds more inviting than braving the brutal cold outside, even if you’re not feeling 100%.

That is THE WORST feeling. Although, your dinner sounds awesome. What time shall I arrive?

Hate that and am currently experiencing it myself as well. I’ve been on antibiotics for an ear infection (that started with sore throat) a week now, and suddenly yesterday started getting sicker. Now I’m achy and can’t breathe through my nose and DAMMIT I’ve been sick since December fricking thirtieth. FUCK YOU WINTER! Bacon still sounds good, though, so I guess I’m not dying. But I don’t think I could taste it.

Doesn’t bacon have medicinal healing powers?

Oh no! I hope you can fend it off!
