happy birthday to my husband

Filed under: Miscellaneous — Shauna @ 2:21 pm

It’s Jason’s birthday today, and for now, he’s the same age as me. Thank god. It’s hard being old.

Happy birthday, Jason. May you and your monkey toes, your half-asleep conversations, and your penchant for wanting to always put me in a headlock enjoy many more years of happiness and fun. I love you.

Tell us: what’s your best birthday memory?

  1. Happy Birthday, Jason!!!!

Favorite birthday memory? Hmmm… oh, getting a purple striped skating outfit (leoatard and matching skirt) and having a roller rink party in 2nd grade. AWESOME.

Tied with: My first birthday with A. He booked a fancy hotel in Denver and made reservations at a great restaurant with live jazz. I was missing the the more urban pleasures of life, so he gave me “the city” for my birthday. So thoughtful!

  2. Happy Birthday to Jason!

One of my favorite birthdays was my 16th, which was on Friday the 13th. We watched scary movies and just had a fun girls’ night. I remember it every time I watch “The Twilight Zone.” LOL

  3. Welcome to the land of 34 Jason! So glad to have you join us.

I can’t think of a favorite birthday memory. That’s pretty sad huh? My birthday is one day before my older sister’s so we often had to share our birthday growing up. So it was never just my day. This year I spent the evening with one of my best friends, her husband and their two kids in their backyard. I got to enjoy watching the two little ones play around with my dog, Tally. It was a very very nice day.

  4. Happy birthday, Jason!!

My parents threw me a surprise sweet 16 party, which was pretty awesome, but I must say it was trumped by my 21st birthday. Because for that birthday my then-boyfriend (now husband) took me horseback riding and then proposed over a bottle of champagne.

  6. Happy Birthday, Jason! One of my favorite birthday memories is the year I turned 30. Sid gave me a surprise party. I thought we were going to spend the day in New Orleans so I had dressed in a t-shirt and coveralls (yes, I had some then) with my driver’s license and a $20 bill in my front pocket. On our way out of town (supposedly), Sid said he had to stop at a friend’s house to help move a piece of furniture. I followed him inside bitching and moaning about how I just wanted one day all to myself with him and some beignets. And SURPRISE!

  7. Happy Birthday Jason!

I’m a month older than my hubs, too, and I’m always glad when his birthday rolls around and I’m not the old lady anymore ;-)

The one really great birthday memory that popped into my head what when I turned 11, and my parents bought me a BIKE! I Schwinn 10-speed bike! Like real people ride! I was so excited my head nearly exploded.

  8. Happy Birthday Jason,
I hope that you had a great birthday.

*My favorite birthday was last year. Brian took me to our favorite B&B and we did nothing but relaxed. It was very romantic

  10. I love birthdays. Mine’s Friday. One of my recent fave birthday memories was The Reducers dedicating a song to me during a show. And OMG! I blogged about them today! Who knew?!
