I’m not slow, just thorough
So, four months after I started it, and many, many times after I messed it up and swore at it, and even chopped it into itty bitty pieces over the garbage can while Jason backed away slowly, I finished the scarf I was knitting.
I think it turned out really nice. And since I finally overcame my inability to accurately knit row 13 of the 16-row pattern, maybe I’ll make another one, since this one will be a gift.
On second thought, maybe I’ll just keep it for myself.

Wow, that’s beautiful. Congratulations, and good job.

Delurking here. I just wanted to know if I could steal your line of “I’m not slow, just thorough” LOVE THAT!
I could totally use that in regards to my scrapbooking.
Great scarf – I would keep it too!

That is awesome! I’m always impressed by craftiness in other people because I do not have a shred of it.

Mandy,
I got the pattern from a knitting book that featured dozens of general stitch patterns/designs; I’ll email the name of it to you and how I adapted the design to make the scarf tomorrow.

So pretty!
And isn’t it just the way things happen – that you finish the lovely scarf in the middle of SUMMER? I do this all the time.

Awesome! For a minute there I thought that picture was of a tie. I’m glad you didn’t knit a tie.

That’s pretty! I say keep it for yourself. I, unfortunately, am only able to sew on buttons.
