And I don't think they really know about the shells, but are just trying to cheat you out of tuna treats. They have such small brains, completely devoted to getting everything they want. The only thing that smells better than fresh grass or lilacs is mimosa trees. My neighbor has one, and sometimes I just go stand under it pretending to do something to the brown pine needles in that corner. I would be forced to investigate further. I think a webcam is definitely in order! I am quite sure that the only thing my pets do is sleep during the day.
