better
Hey, if you’re wondering if I just did an entire entry on menstrual cramps, the answer is “Yes. YES I DID.” Sorry about that. Four hours and 5 (not the recommended 2) pain-reliever tablets later, I’m feeling better.
Let’s do something a little more fun: what’s your favorite day of the week and why?
For me, it’s Wednesdays. They’ve always been positive days, and for awhile, any good thing that happened to me: promotion, raise, etc., happened on a Wednesday.
Nowadays, Jason & I have “Upstairs Wednesdays.” Our TV is downstairs in the family room, so on Wednesdays we’ll retreat upstairs to the living room after dinner and play cribbage. Afterwards, the cats spread out around us while Jason reads and I knit (Scarf of Doom progress: almost halfway done and still OK! Except for that ONE stitch last night I messed up and semi-fixed, but no one will know but me!). It’s quiet – the only sounds are my knitting needles and the water filter bubbling happily in the aquarium. Sometimes I glance around and just take in the peacefulness: Jason reading; Abby sleeping with her tailed curled tightly around her ears; Sunny playing dead; the fish lined up symmetrically, staring us down. Wednesday nights restore me, and the rest of the week then seems to fly by.
How about you: which day is your favorite?
REALLY? Your favorite day is hump day? I can barely drag through Wednesdays. I rather like Thursdays- the week feels like it’s starting to be close to over, but I still have time to get projects done- I tend to be productive and cheerful on Thursdays.
The upstairs Wednesday idea is sweet, though. We should try something similar, instead of mindlessly turning to tv and the internet every evening.

5 pain relievers. Wow. I get a bit loopy when I take 4. I can only imagine what 5 would be like.
Wednesday is turning into a good day because I get to bring my dog with me to work. But since it’s a work day (and my current work sitch SUCKS) then I say Saturday and Sunday are the best!

I don’t think I have a favorite day. Unfortunately, they are all the same. Sometimes, I don’t even know what day it actually IS.

Thursdays have always been favorite and more recently because every thursday before I moved ot NYC my girls and my mom and my aunt would all go ot a pub and eat pub grub and drink beer. So thursdays were fun fests with my fav people, since I moved Tuesday is my only day off so Tuesdays are my favorite….and sunday afternoons

I like ALL your posts, even the ones about baseball (baseball, snore!). Menstrual cramps? Bring ‘em on!
My favorite day would have to be Thursday, when you realize that the weekend is almost here but none of it has been used up yet. It’s like Christmas eve.

Sorry about the cramps. Reminded me that I am not looking forward to the return of ye olde cycle after breastfeeding.
My favorite day of the week is probably Saturday or Sunday. The (usually unfulfilled) hope of sleeping in, pancakes, church (which beyond the spiritual uplift is an hour or so when I am having Grownup Time and someone else is playing with the kids!) usually eating out and hanging with friends or taking the kids to the mall or the playground. Nice.

I love Tuesdays for some reason. There is always something going on Tuesday evenings. In terms of weekend outlook, however, Tuesdays kind of suck and I’d have to give my vote to the lovely Thursday. One day till the weekend.

Hm, I like Thursday because it feels like the end of the week and yet still has all the potential because none of the weekend has been used up yet.

Screw Fridays. Bleh.
Since I had AD, MONDAY is one of the best days of the week for me. Sad but true.
