Monthly satisfaction survey
Name of month being evaluated: February
1. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being “AWESOME!” and 1 being “I WOULD LIKE TO PUNCH IT IN THE THROAT,” how satisfied were you with the treatment you received by February? 1
2. Considering your expectations about the month, to what extent did the month meet your expectations? If by ‘meet,’ you mean take my hopes for a nice month and pulverize them to the ground, pour lemon juice on them and leave them outside in the elements to freeze in a puddle of lemony despair, then ‘VERY WELL’.
3. On a scale of 1-10, compared to other months you have experienced, how well did this month perform? 1
4. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being “YAY, ANOTHER DAY TO REVEL IN MY STATUS AS A HEARTY MINNESOTAN” and 1 being “OH MY GOD, BELOW ZERO AGAIN, I AM GOING TO MURDER SOMEONE,” how did you feel about having an extra day (February 29th)? 1
4a. If you did not like the extra day, why not? It sucked, and I do not wish to elaborate for fear of jinxing myself further, especially since the day is not yet over.
4b. What alternatives do you pose for utilizing the extra day? I wish to move it to July 32nd. If that is not possible, then February can stick that extra day up its [ERROR: maximum characters allowed 103]
5. What happened to make February a bad month? Please check all that apply.
Shitty weather:
Death(s) in family:
Job frustration:
Car doors freezing shut during -40 windchill:
Not being March:
6. How could February have served you better? By letting me win the lottery and move to Hawaii.
7. Would you recommend February to a friend? HA HA HA HA – NO.
8. (Optional) If you are not satisfied with the services provided and wish to discuss your concerns in greater detail, please sign your name and phone number below, and Mother Nature will contact you at her earliest convenience.

I agree with you on all of it, and I’m not even in Minnesota!

Eh, it was better than January. That is all I have to say about it. Here’s to the weekend and MARCH!
Comment by Shannon — February 29, 2008 @ 4:35 pm
Hehe… that’s a great idea. And I would have to agree with it, even though I live in Oregon.

HA! Really, why is that extra day tacked on to February? It really would do us all so much better in July.

See, I expect Februrary weather to be like this. It’s when March brings this kind of weather that I get all pissy. The job frustration, deaths, etc… that just sucks.
Hope your March is stellar!

YES!!! I agree whole heartedly.

Last year between Feb. 24 – Mar. 2, we received about 21 inches of snow. At least this year that same time span was kind to us in that regard! I just read an article explaining why the extra day is tacked on to February, but I didn’t retain it…sorry. We’ll have to wait another 4 years for the explanation!

The February 28th BACON!! Gluten-free girl blog posting will lighten your view of february. They had a bacon party! Apparently bacon is a frequent ingredient on the site so you can visit often when you’re needing a little pick-me-up. Here is a sampling of their bacon digestives:
dates wrapped in bacon, bacon baskets, bacon and potatoes, and for the love of God bacon chocolate!! Maybe we should experiment with making bacon ice cream? Some variation of maple bacon cream, stout bacon cream?? However far you choose to take it, I hope the pork topic puts a smile on your face

Thanks, Kelly! Anything bacon-related puts us in a good mood. For instance, today for lunch at Wendy’s, Jason had the Baconator. Even though I resisted having a bite, it made me happy.

Now February 29 is OVER and there won’t be another one for FOUR YEARS. Glorious, really.
Anyway, I hope that whatever happened on Friday that you didn’t want to elaborate on got better, and fast.

This is Classic Shauna. Love it (and you). My favorite part was the error.
What is the DEAL with that Baconator? Is it GOOD?
