End game

Filed under: Food, Miscellaneous — Shauna @ 1:33 pm

Last weekend we went to Buffalo Wild Wings, my absolute favorite place in the world to eat (because I am classy). Jason suggested it, although I’m pretty sure my subtle “Y.M.C.A.” spoof – entitled “B.W.3.” – helped tip the scales in my buffalo-sauce-coated favor.

(For your information, the lyrics to “B.W.3.” go like this:)

Young man, there’s a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you’re short on your dough.
You can eat there, and I’m sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It’s fun to eat at the B! W! 3!
It’s fun to eat at the B! W! 3!

(Note that each occurrence of “B! W! 3!” is accompanied by the appropriate hand gesture.)

Upon our arrival, in which I gleefully rubbed my hands together in anticipation of buffalo chips with cheese and spicy garlic wings, Jason cried out, “YES!”

And while I was enamored with the prospect of greasy, spicy poultry wings, Jason was enamored with this:

Vikings cheerleaders.

I wonder if they have a dance routine for “B.W.3.”?

  1. I’m a little clueless, but why is it BW3? “Buffalo Wild Wings” should be BWW or BW2 or something, right?

  2. Awesome. I had a friend who was a Vikings Cheerleader. They get paid $50 per game and THAT IS IT. Not that I thought it was a full-time job or anything but…STILL. I guess squeezing your perky ass into those uniforms is its own reward.

  3. Ha ha! I had a friend who was a Timberwolves girl, and I don’t think she got any compensation!

Also, I never understood why it was BW3 either? In fact, Brett doesn’t believe me that it is called this. Why is called this?

  4. Mimi and Flibberty,

I guess Buffalo Wild Wings used to be called Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck, and it became known as BW3. Weck is short for kummelweck, a salty German roll served in Buffalo, NY. (Thank you, Wikipedia!)

I still call it BW3 even though it’s not correct.

    Tessie,

One of Jason’s old buddies is one of the guys who runs on the field with the Vikings flag when they score. I’m imagine he’s been bored silly this year. (rimshot)

  5. That is awesome! A. will be jealous…

And, yes, I am sure Jason’s friend is bored to death… I mean, come on!

  6. Do they still have that electronic trivia game at BW3s? I used to love to go play that stupid game and usually BW3s had it. I usually became drunk and a bit to over competitive – never pretty amongst friends!

Tee hee, the squeezing perky ass comment made me giggle… ah I guess I never thought of it that way!
