A typical night – Director’s cut
[Fade In]
Scene: Bedroom
[Close-up of alarm clock]: 3:21 a.m.
Jason, mumbling fearfully in his sleep: Nommdsghsaugsdlno…OW!!!
Me, startled awake and thinking back to his previous nightmares of being killed or watching as I’m being killed: Are you OK?
Jason: Someone threw a dart at me!
Me: Wha? A dart?
Jason: Yeah. I was at work with Nikki Sixx…
Me: The guy from Mötley Crüe???
Jason: Yeah. He was a press operator. Anyway, we were all playing darts and one of the guys threw one at me.
Me: Where did you get hit?
Jason: In the elbow.
Me: O…kay…
Jason: That’s OK. I hit him back and got him in the spine. HA HA!
Me: …
Jason, snoring.
[Fade Out]

You guys have the best sleep shenanigans.
It’s all fun and games until someone gets a dart to the spine.

Torsten and I both have nightmares sometimes and we wake each other up when it happens. My last one was just the night before last and apparently I was breathing all hard and kind of freaking out in my sleep. I remember distinctly dreaming that someone was chasing me around my parents’ house with a gun, trying to shoot me and shooting my family on the way. I think it’s because I saw American Gangster, because the ambiance was very similar.
The point being, Jason’s nightmare sounds a little more my style. I wish I had that kind.

I once sat up from a dead sleep and shouted, “Where’s everybody at? There’s usually a lot of people around here!” It was three in the morning, in our bedroom.

Haha! Your stories make me want a boyfriend just so I can have bizarre middle-of-the-night experiences. Well, maybe not.
