Tagged – twice

Filed under: Miscellaneous — Shauna @ 9:18 am

In lieu of actual content and because today started with two cat barf piles right next to the bed, three cat turds outside the litterbox AND a giant brown line of cat unhygienicity on our living room carpet, here’s that Four Things meme:

Four jobs I have had
1. fabric cutter, goldfish wrangler and world’s worst gift wrapper at a Ben Franklin
2. receptionist for city hall
3. unemployment counselor (where no one was ever happy to talk to me - EVER)
4. freelance magazine writer

Four movies I can watch over and over
1. major league
2. the wedding singer
3. morocco
4. 50 first dates

Four tv shows I like to watch
1. the office (I swear Dwight is the fictional embodiment of a former coworker. A coworker who once brought a half-eaten box of cereal to a meeting for his “snack to share”)
2. rules of engagement
3. 24
4. 30 rock

Four places I have been on vacation
1. London (if you go here with an outlet adapter from Best Buy, it will start your curling iron on fire. Just a little advice from me to you)
2. Hawaii (this one time, at band camp? We got to go to Hawaii and I took lots of pictures and then the roll of film was ruined by the idiot film developer)
3. Cancun
4. Vegas

Four favorite foods
1. spicy garlic buffalo wings
2. pepperoni pizza with extra cheese
3. a #16 from Jimmy John’s with regular kettle chips
4. spaghetti with bacon

Four websites I visit daily
1. espn.com (to compile my fantasy FB stats, naturally)
2. nfl.com (same as above; no, I am not crazy, thank you)
3. blogroll
4. brusheezy.com (free photoshop brushes; highly recommend)

Four places I would rather be
1. in a library or bookstore
2. at home napping with the kitties
3. not at work
4. on my honeymoon

  1. Ben Franklin! We had one in my town. Do they even still HAVE those anymore?

I Heartily Approve of all of your tv and food favorites. Also, Major League. JUUUST A BIT OUTSIDE.

  2. Boy, people seem to be dealing with a lot of cat barf these days. Maybe there’s some sort of kitty virus going around.

  3. Tessie,

I don’t know if there’s many BFs left; I know my hometown one is gone.

As for Major League, Jason has a really deep voice, so I make him quote the manager all the time: “That’s a hell of an idea” and “Forget the curveball, Ricky - give ‘em the heater.” Hee.

    And Jess,

    NO. NO VIRUS. PLEASE.

  4. Jimmy John’s… you’re making me all nostalgic. I haven’t been there since college, but M and I still use the tag line from their campus newspaper ads, “Lose twenty ugly pounds–cut off your head.”

  5. Goldfish wrangler? Is there a goldfish ranch or is this aquarium type work? I love hearing about all the jobs folks have had, and what lead them to their particular occupational glory. It’s always completely random!

  6. I have yet to have an adapter work properly while on vacation. I think it is a scam. I got an adapter from an Apple store IN ENGLAND to make sure I wouldn’t melt my computer while studying there for four months.

And guess what? MY COMPUTER PROMPTLY MELTED TWO DAYS LATER.

Sorry about the cat barf; animal barf is never a good way to start the day. Oh lord, you didn’t discover it by stepping in it next to the bed with your bare feet, did you?!?!

  7. [...] I don’t remember too much about the experience itself except that the distance I ran was really, really short and the Olympic Torch was really, really heavy. I’d show you pictures, but (this is true, I swear to God), the pictures were on the same roll of film as my band trip to Hawaii. [...]
