BASEBALL!!
Tonight is the first pitch of the regular baseball season. Tomorrow Shauna and I will be (hopefully) sitting in the front row of the upper deck, overlooking Torii Hunter roaming center field at the Twins home opener at the Metrodome. We cannot wait; baseball season is upon us.
This will be our fourth Opening Day at the Dome together; but just as important, last night was our fourth annual “Baseball Night” as well.
Each year we usher in the season watching our favorite movie, Major League, while drinking beer (O’douls) and Cokes and eating chili dogs, sunflower seeds and peanuts.
We enjoy Baseball Night so much, we now see off the season the same way. Luckily, tomorrow night we’ll be enjoying the same dinner. Now, we just have to find a few more “excuses” each year to indulge our sophisticated palates.
