Out with the (c)old
On more than one occasion today, I have found myself making involuntary noises. Groans that I do not consciously intend to communicate to the outside world. I don’t know if it’s my body screaming for me to exercise, or my lungs trying to communicate the fact that Flu + Asthma = We’re Dying Here, but it’s embarrassing. And weird.

I am in a ridiculously good mood today. 2006 is almost done, and while it wasn’t a terrible year by any stretch of the imagination (in fact, it was a very, very good year all things considered, so don’t think I am being ungrateful here), there were a lot of little trials and tribulations and stressful annoyances that put a strain on everyday life sometimes for Jason and I and well, don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya, 2006. I’m not sorry to see you go, is all I’m saying.

After turning down about five offers to do something on New Year’s Eve, we are staying home. And I am so glad. I’m excited to just kick back, make some BBQ ribs and cornbread muffins, and attempt an Epic Comeback® in cribbage, since I am down by 20 games in this year’s tournament.
Right now would be a good time for one of those groans.

Hurf…urf…Happy New Year!
